Nia Jones
Nia Jones is a Peter Harbage Health Policy Fellow at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California. She previously worked in the district office of Congresswoman Doris Matsui, serving as her advisor on regional health care, agriculture, and education issues. Prior to that role, Nia worked in the California State Senate.
As a passionate advocate for public health, Nia is dedicated to advancing policies that improve community well-being. She has a particular interest in promoting healthier lifestyles, especially through nutrition education, and is committed to inspiring children to develop a love for fruits and vegetables. Nia believes that early education about healthy eating can lead to long-term positive health outcomes for future generations.
Nia is a Sacramento native and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health from the University of California, Merced, and a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
