Raising Kale Podcast
Coming March 10th
We have all personally experienced a fractured food system during the COVID pandemic: empty grocery store shelves, rising hunger, and political protests for Black Lives Matter. All of these issues are connected to the work that Food Literacy Center does. But these aren’t easy issues. Carrots are just part of the solution. It’s complicated. That’s why we wanted to create a podcast: to tell the stories of our multi-layered food system by talking to inspiring kale raisers on the ground who are solving problems and making change happen. They’re the ones ensuring that we end hunger, build stronger farms, and improve the lives of Black school kids through school lunch.
Food is a tool for good. Our founder Amber talks to kale raisers around the country who use food to make the world a better place. Many are our partners and peers in food literacy. They’ll share how you can help, too!
