We’re Here to Help
Letter from the CEO
“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers.’ You will always find people who are helping.” ~ Mr. Rogers.
Today, we face a grave public health crisis with COVID-19. Our response: With children at home, we swiftly launched our first online food literacy lesson within 3 days of school closures. We will roll out two lessons every week, complete with video classes. Anyone can follow along at home. They are available for FREE.
Things are hard right now. I want you to know that we are dedicated to making it better. We don’t have all the answers, but we have a passionate team with expertise in public health, and we’re eager to help.
We are doing additional research right now by actively reaching out to community partners to understand the needs left unfilled in our community. We are eager to do more and to leverage our small team’s expertise to help. We will remain transparent, providing weekly communication about what we learn and what we are doing.
You are needed! If you can help, please donate so our important work can continue. Donate to us, and donate to the other causes that are meaningful to you. We all need each other more than ever.
