We’d like to thank Whole Foods Market for sponsoring the distribution of Food Literacy Center’s Veggie Recipe Kits this summer! With their help, we’ve distributed 420 free kits at 6 schools we serve in South Sacramento with fresh produce and healthy ingredients to make a meal for four. That’s 2,374 pounds of fresh produce! Our students are able to cook healthy meals at home with their families using the skills they learned in food literacy class.
