Sabrina White
Volunteer Coordinator
Sabrina first joined Food Literacy Center in 2021 as a Program Intern while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of California, Davis. In 2022, she joined Food Literacy Center as Program & Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, she oversees our volunteer program as well as teaching cooking and nutrition classes.
Sabrina grew up in South Sacramento, attending one of the elementary schools that Food Literacy Center currently serves. Growing up in a food desert ignited her to work on food systems equity. She believes that food literacy education encourages students to make healthier food choices and empowers them to become changemakers in their communities.
Sabrina previously interned with Yolo Farm to Fork and Community
Fruit 916. She holds a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate through
the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and
eCornell.
